Parasail? You, want to do what, Denise?

Parasail? You, want to do what, Denise?

Ok, so for those of you who do not know Denise and me personally,  would not know that Denise is a bit on the tame side when it comes to adventure! She prefers to leave the most adventuresome stuff for the adrenaline junkies. Roller coasters? Nope, I’ll watch!  The swings at the fair? Nope, you go!  And, now you understand, “Parasail? You, want to do what. Denise?” Was a statement I made, well in shock!  LOL

And, you know what?

This is one adventure, she did not regret!

You want to what Denise? Parasail?

Now, look at that…

“put your hands up in the air, like you just don’t care! (now try to get that out of your heads!)

You want to what Denise? Parasail?

I love this shot!

It gives you a real perspective!  That was one long rope!  And, I have to say this, it was a beautiful day, awesome views for miles around and believe it or not, very serene.  It was so quiet up there!

Look at that smile!

Denise had an awesome time!  (I thought it was okay, too!)  ah, who am I kidding, I love doing stuff like this!  There was no “dip” in the water “this” time, but after this experience, I’m sure there will be a next!  We were on the boat for about an hour overall.  We love boat rides, and the water was smooth as glass.  You spend about 10-15 minutes in the air, and they take a few riders out at a time.  So, sit back and enjoy the ride!

Meet Captain Adam and his first mate Devon

Captain Adam and his first mate Devon, from Suncoast Water Sports, made this excursion, super simple, fun and very enjoyable! For those of you who might be apprehensive about this excursion, rest assured that you are in good hands with these two!   Photos, well most of them in this blog post, were taken by Devon.  Thank you guys for an awesome adventure!

The details for my handi-capable friends

I wore my prosthetic leg with DryPro Prosthetic Leg cover.  We rode a banana boat from the beach to the boat.  So you need to be able to transfer from one to the other. The next time, I think I will leave the leg in the boat and take my camera! They have you sit down on the back deck of the boat for the lift off and you are slowly lifted into flight.  The ride down is gentle and brings you right back on the boat.  It was smooth and a blast!  So, whether you take your legs or leave them home, get out there and have some fun!

Be sure to check out my earlier blog post on this trip for more photos! Thank you, to those behind the scenes!   You can also check out my post on the DryPro Prosthetic Leg Cover here, oh and here The DryPro Wet Test!

Let me share with you the most important thing I have discovered.  Where ever you go, whatever you see, share it with others!  Don’t be afraid to stop and smell the roses, to share a smile with a stranger, a meal with friends and build memories together that will last a lifetime!
