Route 66 Diner, cars, food, sun and fun!

I have read, that posting too many photos in a post, bores the readers.  Well, I most certainly do not want to bore my readers with my photos, that what my “dialog” is for!

Today’s blog tip, watch Facebook for pop-up or last minute events!

Case in point, there is a new restaurant opening up less than a mile from my house.  Last night I was reading my Facebook feed and I saw that today, they were having a “car show!”  (I’m sure that it was planned more in advance than that, but that’s when I saw it!) Yes!  A local event, close to my house and it was FREE!

So, I grab my camera gear, charged up my batteries and prayed for sunshine!

As you can see, it was a beautiful day for a car show!  And, it was jammed packed!  When some of the cars would leave, more would come in their place!  The parking lot got real small, real fast.  Quite a success, I’m sure you would agree.

I have attached a few of the photos here for your enjoyment, the other 240+ are posted on my Facebook page,  Bill’s Travel Blog, be sure to check them out there!

Let me share with you the most important thing I have discovered.  Where ever you go, whatever you see, share it with others!  Don’t be afraid to stop and smell the roses, to share a smile with a stranger, a meal with friends and build memories together that will last a lifetime!

All photographs in this post were taken by the author, Bill McQueen, amateur photographer, food enthusiast and sometimes traveler.

  1. It took me a bit to fin out how to leave comments on your blog – here I am! I loved you r post on the sunken gardens. Exquisite flowers. We go road tripping now that both of us are retired – I have hundreds of photos! I take the pick of the bunch for the travel posts and archive the rest.

  2. Thank you! I started a seperate page for just the photos, so I post a few in the “post” and put a link to the “page” with all of them. I am still new at this, just a little over a month! Thank you for visiting! Sorry you had a difficult time leaving a comment! =Bill

  3. It’s all a learning curve – it took me many months and tweaks to get mine to do what it should and what I wanted !! Enjoy – it’s a wild ride 🙂
