Just so you know, I have never thought about eating a frog! Especially in the morning!
I have been listening to a Brian Tracy’s “21 Great Ways to Manage Your Time and Increase Your Productivity” on Audible. And, I wanted to share this concept with you. That really does make a lot of sense when you think about it.
This saying is not a new one, you might have heard your grandmother or even mother say it. You probably just shook your head, chuckled and walked away, never giving another thought! Believe it or not, there is true wisdom in those words.
All of us have tasks that perhaps we have been selectively procrastinating on, those tasks, are your “frog!” Ah, now I get it! If we plan out or schedule to start our day with those “frogs” we will get them out of the way making more time for other projects.
Oh, let’s not forget part two, “If you are going to eat a frog, its best not to look at it too long!” Funny, but true. I can remember sitting at the table staring at those vegetables and hearing my father say, “you’re not getting up from this table until you eat your vegetables!” Did that make me want to eat them? NO! But, in the end, I would shovel them all in my mouth (gag a bit), make faces, chew, (gag) swallow and they were gone! And you know what? I was rewarded with being able to go and do whatever else I wanted too!
The same principle applies to our daily life. If we plan to attack the things we avoid, first thing, we clear our plate for desert! And, I don’t know about you, but I like desert!
I purchased this read, on Audible for ninety-five cents it’s definitely worth a listen! Have an awesome, and inspiring, day my friends! -Bill
