Step back in time to 1750 at Philipsburg Manor A few years back on one of our trips to New York we stopped by Philipsburg Manor. The visitor center is on one side of the lake and provides quite the picturesque view of the Philipsburg Manor. Philipsburg Manor is located at 381 N Broadway, Sleepy Hollow,
Today I’m going to be talking about my own personal experiences at some fantastic music festivals as a disabled person here in the UK. Disabled access information is a topic that you can’t find much information about when searching online, and the only way to truly know the struggles and the precautions you have to take as a disabled person is if you have spoken to someone that has already attended and can tell you all about what you’ll more than likely need to be cautious about.
When I was attending my first music festival I did try to do a search online and couldn’t find anything to help and advise me. I ended up having to just email the festival and hope for a reply – which
Sunken Gardens, Florida sunshine in a bloom. I though you could use a little Florida sunshine in bloom! And what better place to go to for that, Sunken Gardens, in beautiful, sunny, St. Petersburg Florida? (“I am thoughtful if I am nothing, after all” as Denise would say!) Sunken Gardens is a botanical paradise in
Are you a fan of history? I am! Then perhaps you should visit historic St. Augustine Florida! Taking a walk down the narrow cobblestone streets of St. Augustine can almost transport you back in time! The locals were right when they said to go early! The food was awesome and the place packed out quickly. I was first in line when they started taking orders at 12:00 and our food came out quick! We had the steamed shrimp, butter garlic wings, roast beef wrap and the clam chowder in a bread bowl.
So, what do you do when it’s 19 degrees out? We go for a ride! (It is warmer in the car after all!)
We had a spare day or two before the wedding and so we decided to do a little exploring out of Ossining, NY and up the Connecticut coastline. Our first stop was in Bridgeport, where we found Seaside Park.
Of course, we picked one of the coldest days of our visit to get tickets, but hey, it was worth it to rub elbows with the likes of Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly, Daphne Oz, Michael Symon and producer Gordon Elliott! (well, we didn’t actually get to rub elbows, but we were in the same room, and we got to shake hands with Chef Michael Symon after the show!)
If you ever find yourself in Tarrytown, NY, you just have to stop by this quaint little slice of taco heaven, the Taco Project! Located at 18 Main Street in Tarrytown, this small corner restaurant delivers big on fresh and flavorful!
A brisk train ride into New York City Grand Central Station this morning! 37° the push for the sign was a welcomed site!
“While visiting The Ringling you are welcome to explore the Bayfront Gardens at your leisure. As awe-inspiring as any work of art, The Ringling Bayfront Gardens are a living treasure. Courting couples statuary watch over Mable’s Rose Garden. The shade the majestic Banyan trees provide. The delight inspired by the whimsy of the Dwarf Garden. The echoes from the past where the Circus King finally rests in the Secret Garden.”
I mostly live vicariously through the photographs that I have taken in the past. I probably have had more road trips and vacations in the last 8 years than I have in my entire life. I owe that to Denise, she has brought out and enabled me to become, the Wanderer that I am. We love to travel together when we can and do so as often as possible.
